1. What does the Recently Deleted Domains List contain? This is a free list containing all domain names that were deleted (dropped) on the mentioned date. Dropped domains are simply a previously registered domain name which has expired due to non renewal by the previous owner. A domain name gets deleted by the domain registrar when it is not renewed even after 30-45 days of expiry. Once a domain is dropped, it becomes available to public and can be registered by anyone. Dropped domains and deleted domains are the same.
2. What is the difference between deleted and expired domains? A deleted domain is one that has not only expired, but is now available for anybody to simply re-register like it was a new domain. While an expired domain is one which has not been renewed by the current owner post it's expiry date. Domain registrars keep the domain for 30-45 days post expiry, during which the current owner can renew it and get the domain active. When the owner fails to renew within this period, it gets dropped by registrar and can be registered by anyone.
3. What does "Whois Database of Recently Deleted Domains" contain? This is a daily database containing the last known whois record of the domain names that got deleted on the mentioned date. The whois information is not recent, as deleted domains do not have any whois data. Once a domain gets deleted, their entire record is removed from the whois servers. 4. How many day's whois database will I get to download? You will be able to download daily whois database of previous 30 days. In total, you will get access to the whois data of all the domain names that got deleted within last 1 month. Each day's database is separated into a single file.

6. Will I get the Raw Whois data? Raw Whois data is not included to keep the database size optimized.
